Age UK North Yorkshire & Darlington COVID-19 Support


We are seeking volunteers to offer support during the COVID-19 outbreak.


Telephone Befriending

Coronavirus has left many people feeling lonely or isolated, our Good Friends befriending service is here to help those in Darlington, Harrogate, Richmondshire, Hambleton & Craven.

Our highly experienced and trained team will help match people to volunteers who can make a regular phone call or write letters to ensure that everyone in our area has someone to talk to.


Hot Food Deliveries

Hot food deliveries are available in Darlington and the Richmond area daily between 12pm-2pm for anyone over 50 who's having to shelter because of age or a medical condition. Orders can be placed before 11am on the day required by calling 01325 741492.

We are currently working alongside other organisations to facilitate hot food deliveries in other areas therefore please phone us on 0300 30 20 100 to see what’s available in your area.


Physical & Mental Wellbeing

We can help support you with lots of information on how to maintain your physical and mental wellbeing during this difficult time.


We are currently offering different services in different areas, we are working daily on new projects so please phone our helpline on 0300 30 20 100. If we cannot help we will be able to signpost or refer you to the appropriate services in your area.
