SPARKS Project

The SPARKS Project is a 3 year funded project which started in Oct 2018, delivering help, advice and support for working age people and their families in the Barrowcliff area of Scarborough (Woodlands Ward)

We differ from other services in that, we are based on the estate and have 3 qualified Tutors & Life Coaches that work with people on a one to one basis to identify issues, take action and solve problems. We listen without judging and help and support people move forward in their lives.

Our main aim is to help people change their lives for the better, working on mental health, exercise and diet, as well as practical things like housing, benefits, medication, filling out forms, making telephone calls, education, training and employment.

We also offer group sessions including; cooking, crafting, walking and beach therapy and we like to use our North Bay Beach chalet to help clients take time to relax and recharge.

During lock down  we are open for face to face appointments, and are helping people with information, advice and guidance, access to technology and telephones, food parcels, debt issues, mental health.
