Advocacy Alliance is a small local charity providing free, independent and confidential advocacy support to people living in Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale.
Advocacy is: taking action to help people say what they want, secure their rights, represent their interests and obtain the services they need.
Advocacy support involves recruiting, training and supporting local people as volunteer advocates and matching them on a one to one basis with vulnerable adults. The training elements of our work, include training individuals and groups to understand what advocacy is and how they can advocate for themselves. We also offer safeguarding training for vulnerable individuals living in our area of benefit.
Individuals who feel they may need advocacy support or those interested in finding out more about volunteering with us should ring the office on 01723 363910
