HS4LC
HS4LC, Harrogate
About
HS4LC offers a wide range of educational and meaningful day activities for young people and adults with specialist educational needs at their centre in central Harrogate. HS4LC started in 1994, becoming a registered charity in 2010 when it moved to its current central location, offering modern teaching and learning opportunities with appropriately qualified and experienced staff. Currently around 100 beneficiaries access the service throughout the week undertaking a wide range of both vocational and non-vocational courses. We are keen to develop new courses aimed at helping younger individuals prepare for adulthood and welcome enquiries from parents, carers and other providers in relation to these developments.
Our skills day-centre offers a wide range of courses for example; drama and dance, craft, music, cooking, out and about groups, swimming and gym to name just a few. Please have a look at our prospectus on our website - www.hs4lc.org.uk
HS4LC also have two separate social enterprises - the Harrogate Chocolate Factory and the Harrogate Chocolate Factory cafe. Both enterprises offer routes to skills development and potentially employment. There are a range of different pathways open to 16-24 year olds with an EHC plan and adults with learning disabilities and autism. Please contact us for further information.
Individuals of all ages with learning difficulties and/or autism may also attend bespoke sessions within our employment services and social enterprises.
HS4L has 2 residential CQC registered care homes in Harrogate and we support 13 residents in each. We are also currently developing specialist supported living accommodation within the locality as we are aware of the high demand and poor current availability. Please check our website or contact us for more information regarding any of our services.
