Mashamshire Community Office
Mashamshire Community Office, 7 Little Market Place, RIPON
Mashamshire Community Office is at the heart of our community – a hub of activity and information for locals, visitors and businesses. We are an independent charity working on behalf of Masham and surrounding villages to ensure our community is a lively, active, vibrant and supportive place to live, work and visit.
We are here to work in the interests of our community and the local economy and are not part of statutory provision or the Parish Council. As such we rely on the time and skills of volunteers to provide local residents and businesses with access to information and services, and visitors with information and ideas about what’s going on in Masham, the local area and further afield. We provide information online via www.visitmasham.com, social media and via our regular newsletters.
We are at the heart of our community, providing a home for Acorns Pre-school Playgroup, the Clerk to Masham Parish Council, a base for MIND in Harrogate and Citizens Advice Bureau as well as the Masham Community Library which run by our team of volunteers. We are also the booking office for Masham Town Hall venue and events together with many other local events and activities. Our aim is to be an anchor point for all kinds of community activity. Our exhibition and retail space – Masham Flock, showcases the work of local artists and crafts people as well as providing another small but vital funding stream to keep the community office going.
You can expect a warm welcome and to be greeted at the door by one of our welcoming volunteers who will help to keep everyone safe in our busy little office.
We produce a weekly bulletin of news aimed at local residents and businesses and a monthly bulletin for visitors. Click the following link to sign up: https://www.visitmasham.com/signup/
